Does anyone admit to having written this on the back of an envelope?

This morning Trintrin1x asked a question about one of her tags

After a quick "GOOGLE" I suggested that the answer to her question was "Friendship Remains And Never Can End" This reminded me of things we used to write on envelopes one of them being "HOLLAND" and the other one "SWALK"

Do you remember any others?

HOLLAND = hope our love lives and never dies
SWALK = sealed with a loving kiss

And who could forget "Postman, postman don't go slow - be like Elvis go man go"?

I'm really showing my age now - before long envelopes will be a thing of the past

I had forgotten about HOLLAND although I used to use it and SWALK, nobody writes letters anymore do they, so I suppose this will die out too - sadly!

  I think it meant that if the ever-so-real puppy love of highschool goes wrong, it was true all along. Obviously. x

It is said that the troops serving overseas during WW2 wrote these words on the back of envelopes and at first it was thought by the censors that it was spies sending messages so they black inked them.

I have written S.W.A.L.K on a letter many moons ago!

My mum and dad always sign off birthday/christmas cards with Y.A.M.F.E...Took us years as kids to get it out of them what it meant!! You and Me for ever! ..And they still do it now..Bless em

My mom had some love letters from her father to his wife (her mother) with "Burma" written on the back, written to her while he was with the RAF.

The story goes, or so my mother used to say, that he was stationed in Burma with the RAF during World War and would write where he was on the back of the envelope hence the Burma. Edna thought this was very naughty of him as he must have been breaking some rules by saying where he was. Apparently he'd been back years when she found out it actually meant "Be Upstairs Ready My Angel." She was disgusted when she found out.

I will admit to having written SWALK once or twice.

  Perhaps we should bring back SWALK as a blogging equivalent to a hug or to replace the LOL (lots of love) which gets confused with "laughs out loud".

I'd forgotten about SWALK though I used to use it years ago, and when I first started blogging I thought LOL was lots of love, till I noticed it seemed to be used in places where it didn't seem very appropriate, and I had to google it to find out what it really meant. I remember NORWICH too, but I see you've already got a comment about that....and BURMA

Only just had time to catch up but yes I used a lot of those especially swalk.

I always remember my father in law signed his birthday cards to his wife M.B.H.L.B. and he had done it since they were in the airforce in the war.
It turned out to be My Black Haired Little Beauty (although in later years he swore it was little bugger!!!)
